Country to City

Already missing Kernow as we enter the capital city of the U.K.

Even though I lived and worked in Knightsbridge a while ...

It will be good to be on the next leg of the journey and approach the green fields from the London boroughs in to my town in the first part to the north of the garden of England on the train

homeward bound

With blue blue skies and the sun shining to go back and help in arrangements for celebrating the life of a dear Mum in law whose only child...My late husband passed before her some seasons back...

Another ... Calm ... before the storm ...

very difficult days ahead ...

the focus again for a time ... as our loved one is remembered with such love and fondness ... as we start the process of sorting yet more arrangements and belongings ... this time at least from the now that was condensed down from one of the prior processes ...

And my family ... preparing the brunt of it for my return ... as we work in tandem again with me needing to be in various places all at once ...

The focus was to regain my strength ... assist in the start of a very difficult area here for my family from that experience being a fellow widow for our Mum ... and prepare for the arrangements in all that will be at this time ... on returning to a very different life again ...

Very wobbly moments appearing ...

Another Bank HOLIDAY ... only two see the full picture in the puzzle ...

... another time ... especially for our daughter ...

with me away from home to muster back my strength ...

with more plans on hold ...

and muddling through in Kernow while regaining my health strength ...

the Tamar bridge closure and trees blown down ...

one expects plans adjusted from the time of planning to leaving with an internal wall waterfall ... which was the ominous destiny of this current ongoing time ...

And only our daughter mentioned I can never have any peace in my time especially in my lost seasons ... and then in finally getting to see and catch up with my family too ...

The part of our life seen only in tiny pieces by many many others ... only we get to see the full picture ...

The weather changeable as the mood ... on an Easter day ...

a gentle breeze, or a whistle and howl in the winds of types, this Easter dawn break in a Cornish town in the North of the County ...

now a lone traveller, with a husband eternally resting and a child flown the nest ...

another stage of life opening up many doors and chapters and throwing up opportunities ... a bittersweet time of change ...

A Surreal Easter Saturday ...

...  The memory in moment of yesterday's time locally over the river for a walk through town and up the valley opposite and walking back down along by our primary school sports field where a 100 houses will be built ...

Reducing more of the outstanding views from vantage points ...

The rains came ...

And did it rain
To fragile petals
A bit of a bain
Now worse for wear
From Maundy Thursday

A glorious Good Friday
Out came the sun
Those once crocus
Now down from focus
The damage done
From heavy droplets

A Good Friday ...

Another time ... another need ...

This time the workings of the system and all those who are behind the scenes in patient flow ... All surreal as we continue quietly in hope for others having dignity in life and death ...

The sun is streaming through the bathroom windows I am relaxing in a tepid bath

The mind naturally all a quandary and a lot still stretching my strength..

I maybe here

Only I'm there
A daughter and her Nan
Only we know
With our love
Across the miles glows
How our life came to be
And how at peace
We are to thee
What will be will be

A waterfall rippling inside,

The night before the travel.
Down the walls,
Through the lights and ceiling,
Descending from the flat above.

Feeling a bit forlorn.
The day of journey dawned,
Arriving at departures gate.
Dreckly driving off later
Alongside the Thames a river

A stroll out in town
Several counties down.
The start of time away
Among the beauty of some flowers.
Weather grey sun too and showers,

A train journey ... For another ...

My daughter currently on her way home ... to be with her Nan at her time of need to have her loved ones with her ...

I am unable to travel back home currently ... being quite under the weather myself ...

This is all par for the course ... Taking what life continues with these twists and turns .  My thoughts very much too with the latest change of circumstances in individuals and families to those affected by the current world news

A view from the Top Of Town ...

View from Coronation Park
March 21, 2016
3yrs 3 mths
You can tell the weather by the haze over the distant moors ... I did start to take some panoramic photos ... Then we quickened our leisurely pace from a response to a call from the doctors surgery ...

The dying embers

Twice today of a log fire
To keep me cosy
With cheeks rosy
Alone since that December
One feels it when unwell
And times that are not so swell
No sight of the local church spires
Or the garden too
Indoors all day through
Feeling a little out of hue

A log fire

A time to be inspired
A little bit tired
A little under the weather
The invisible tether
The white feathers
Time today for rest
To recuperate the zest
Times that are surely tested
When one is now alone
In a zone with that tone
In silence in a phone
Never to bring help
When one was a yelp

Tantalising Tulips ...

all that springs to life ... soon to fade ...
enjoy while the blooms are here
too soon in a blink
before one can wink
the petals disappear
the green stays awhile here
till that too away it sinks
 on the plant pot lip
limp and brown and down
if no one is around
to tend as they are found

The Winds of Change in a Kernow Town ...

... The once Methodist Church floodlit like the church further along the same road ... Which one can see opposite the river ... from where I am staying presently ...

... The former church is now home to the undertakers and I believe anther undertakers is coming to the same town ...

And lots and lots of new builds squeezed in tiny pockets of land ... In various and many parts with new roads and estates leading off established roads ... And including ... Where old builds or green field or land used to be ...

  • The old primary school sports field
  • The old library
  • The old fire station
  • The old council offices
  • Along the old harbour and quay ...

Interesting Times ...

Nesting time 2016
Kernow
... knitted breast prosthesis ... the Land Army ... squeezing in the new builds ... renovating ... costs ... budgets ... funding ... flooding ... resident and tourist car parking ... the local MP ... US and UK politics ... local history ... disabilities ...

Are only some of the topics that have been discussed and debated with various locals and my family ...

My brain cells are getting an airing ... more and more ...

View of a city river from a coach window ....

The River Thames
St Patricks Day 2016
In slow moving traffic at a start of a journey
To the south west of the UK

Thursday, 17 March 2016

The sun is getting low

The misty blue grey hue
In a different county too
Somerset I think
Like the Sun's orange ball
Be gone by in a blink
As the eyes get sleepy and close
The eyelids slowly  slink

The day of travel dawned

With the sun smiling
At last feeling less forlorn
The dustcart reversing
Down our road
Taking the bin loads
The morning after
Keeping up with laughter
All gentle waterfall
Running down the internal wall
From the flat above me
Light fittings removed safely
A bit of mopping up
Then time for a brew
In my favourite cup
Those feelings less a stew

These are times now

where it is the hardest
the leisure times
that takes your pleasure
where the bells chimes
from town halls
and cathedrals and more
the season of spring tides
passing by the shop for brides
rekindling my dressmaking ideas
of materials and yarns in all
those shops here around
the furniture too and kitchen new
and the mannequin for the blogs
I could log of patterns inspiring
and taking the mind away at times
from the deep impact of loss that is mine

On the next soon to be travels

Atrod the stony gravel
As this life anew unravels
Each new journey since
When life made me wince
Giving new joys once again
With a bit more Zen
